DETAILS | Otherwise known as M77, NGC1068 is a Seyfert type2 galaxy with faint spiral arms forming a ring. The image has undergone Digital Development to extract NGC1068's finer structure around the central area. This is a well mapped area of sky and shows many objects SDSS J024304.68+000005.4 is a Broad Absorption Line (BAL) QSO. SDSS J024308.18-000127.0, SDSS J024200.91+000021.0, SDSS J024230.64-000029.6 are QSOs.While SDSS J024216.48+000231.4 is a UvES at 02:42:16.50 +00:02:31.0. All other objects listed are distant galaxies. |
