DETAILS | Almost twice the diameter of the Milky Way, NGC6744 is a barred LINER type spiral galaxy. Supernova SN 2005at was discovered here. The area is not well mapped but a few objects have been marked on the rollover image. This galaxy is quite dim but some enhancement has brought out it's features. The lower image taken at southern summer 2017 solstice is an effort in colour. |
