DETAILS | The Superstar (largest in the pricture) Eta Carinae comprises two massive stars, the larger has been shown to have ionized gas moving away at over 400 kms per second. The system had apparently erupted twice in the 19th century. Trumpler 16 contains the double star WR 25, reputedly the most luminous star in the Milky Way. |
